Fischer Showcases Omaha Products at Senate Lunch
Senator Fischer enjoys lunch with her Republican Senate colleagues. Today’s menu featured Reuben sandwiches, Dundee Dell meatloaf, and spaghetti with Mister C's spaghetti sauce.

WASHINGTON – This afternoon, U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) hosted the Senate’s weekly Thursday lunch, where she highlighted famous Omaha products. The lunch is a longstanding tradition for Republicans in the Senate, and each week a different member provides a taste of their state, illuminating their proud heritage and unique history. Senator Fischer released the following statement this afternoon:
“Today’s lunch was an exciting opportunity to showcase Nebraska’s largest city. I enjoyed sharing a taste of Omaha and its many unique products with my colleagues from across the country.”
During today’s lunch, Senator Fischer showed the video “Nebraska from Above” to underscore the breathtaking beauty of the Cornhusker State.

Today’s gift included personalized “The Taste of the Good Life” Butter Brickle eCreamery ice cream and assorted homemade jams from Big Mama’s Kitchen in Omaha.
No taxpayer dollars were used to purchase items related to today’s lunch.
