WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) released the following statement today after meeting with President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo:
“Today in my Senate office, I was pleased to have the opportunity to meet with CIA Director Mike Pompeo about his nomination to serve as our next Secretary of State. We had a productive discussion about the challenges our nation faces abroad, and I continue to be impressed with his firm position on the need for American leadership in the world. I look forward to working with him, and I will support his nomination on the Senate floor.”
