WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) today hosted the weekly Senate Republican lunch, a long-standing tradition where senators showcase food and products from their state. Titled “the Heart of the Sandhills Luncheon,” after Senator Fischer’s home of Valentine, Nebraska, the Valentine’s Day lunch featured several unique Nebraska products.
“This Valentine’s Day, I enjoyed hosting a ‘Heart of the Sandhills’ lunch for my U.S. Senate colleagues. Thanks to President of the Nebraska Cattlemen Mike Drinnin for sponsoring the delicious Nebraska beef and coming to Washington for this exciting event. My hometown of Valentine, Nebraska, the Heart City, wishes everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day,” said Senator Deb Fischer.
