WASHINGTON, D.C. –U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and chairman of the Subcommittee on Strategic Forces, today met with Commander of U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM) Admiral Charles Richard ahead of his testimony before the full Senate committee tomorrow.

“I appreciated the opportunity to visit with Admiral Richard ahead of his testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee tomorrow. We discussed key aspects of STRATCOM’s mission and his responsibilities as commander. I look forward to hearing him discuss the necessity of modernizing our nuclear enterprise during tomorrow’s testimony,” said Senator Fischer.
