LINCOLN, NEB.U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement following the return of Marine Corporal Daegan William-Tyeler Page to Omaha, Nebraska. Cpl. Page was killed in terrorist attacks in Kabul on August 26th.

“Today, thousands of Nebraskans lined the streets of Omaha to honor the dignified return of Cpl. Page. The outpouring of compassion by the community during the procession was a solemn display of Nebraskans’ deep love for one another and this country. Daegan’s brave service to the nation will not be forgotten.”
