WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement after the Association of American Defense Communities selected the Greater Omaha region as one of five Great American Defense Communities for 2023:

“The people of Greater Omaha understand the unique challenges our service members and veterans face. It’s why so many military families in the community feel safe, welcomed, and supported.

“I want to thank the Association of American Defense Communities for selecting Greater Omaha for this honor. 

“On the Armed Services and Appropriations Committees, I’ll keep fighting to ensure Greater Omaha gets the resources needed to continue supporting our national defense.”
