WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) released the following statement today after the Senate Judiciary Committee approved the nomination of Steve Grasz to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. President Trump nominated Grasz for this seat in August after recommendations from Nebraska’s U.S. senators.

“The Senate Judiciary Committee just cleared an exemplary Nebraskan to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Steve Grasz has extraordinary ethics, sterling credentials, and bipartisan support from across the state of Nebraska. Without a doubt, he is the right choice for this seat on the Eighth Circuit. I hope Steve’s nomination will swiftly move to the Senate floor for a final vote so he can put his skills to work for the American people.”
