WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, today released the following statement after President Donald Trump announced a new executive order targeting North Korea’s trading partners:
“For months, I’ve said our nation needs to make every effort to isolate the North Korean regime. The president’s new executive order is another move in the right direction as it takes additional steps to expand sanctions against Pyongyang. The full weight of our nation’s diplomatic and economic power must be brought to bear against those doing business with North Korea and providing Kim Jong Un the economic means to continue his destabilizing activities.”
