Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) released the following statement this afternoon, announcing the 2015 nominees for our nation’s military academies:

“This year our state was blessed with an outstanding number of students who submitted their applications to attend one of our nation’s military service academies. It is my honor to announce this year’s nominees – an impressive group of young men and women whose call to service will strengthen our nation and foster the next generation of military leaders. Nebraska has a long history of military service, and I’m incredibly grateful to these individuals for their willingness to serve our country in that noble tradition.”

Every year, United States Senators are called upon to nominate a select group of eligible individuals from their states for enrollment at one of the five U.S. Military Service Academies: the United States Air Force Academy, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, the United States Coast Guard Academy, the United States Military Academy and the United States Naval Academy. More information about the nomination process and eligibility requirements can be found by clicking HERE.
