WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) today met with Judge Amy Coney Barrett, President Trump’s nominee to serve as the next Associate Justice on the Supreme Court. Fischer released the following statement after the meeting:

“Judge Barrett is an extraordinary individual and a distinguished jurist. At our meeting today, she said her judicial philosophy is to stick to the text of the Constitution. She follows the law where it leads no matter where it lands. It is inspiring to have such a strong and accomplished woman before the Senate.”
