Fischer's Monthly Record
Dear Friend,
As you may be aware, the U.S. Armed Forces over the weekend carried out strategic strikes on Iran. I am praying for our brave service members as they continue to carry out this operation to ensure Iran never obtains a nuclear weapon. I also join the rest of the nation in mourning the loss of American heroes who valiantly gave their lives during this mission.

Bringing taxpayer dollars back to Nebraska communities
Bringing taxpayer dollars back to Nebraska is a crucial part of my job. As a member of the Appropriations Committee, I have worked with communities across our state to identify and fund projects that make life better for Nebraskans. This includes improvements to our infrastructure and firefighting capabilities, critical upgrades to emergency communication systems, and support for our law enforcement. Click here to read more.

Working to expand broadband internet, safeguard taxpayer dollars
Rural Nebraskans understand that spotty internet makes it difficult – and frustrating – to connect with family and friends, learn at school, or run a business. In today’s day and age, reliable internet access is no longer optional. In Congress, I have worked to expand broadband internet for our unserved and underserved communities. One of my efforts includes the creation of the Broadband Funding Map. This map created a publicly accessible online mapping tool, with the goal of helping federal agencies deploy broadband internet.
To address the need for proper oversight of these federal agencies, I introduced the MAP for Broadband Funding Act. I am pleased it has passed the Senate Commerce Committee. It simply ensures that federal agencies are using this map to maximize broadband buildout, while safeguarding taxpayer dollars. Click here to read more.
Nominating students for acceptance to our prestigious military academies
Every year, I am proud to nominate Nebraska students for acceptance to our nation’s prestigious military academies. I am pleased to announce I nominated 40 Nebraska students. Each student has proven themselves as a dedicated leader, bringing unique skills and perspectives to their communities. I wish them the best as they continue through the process.

Signed into law: My bill to protect children at school with food allergies
When parents drop their kids off at school, they should have peace of mind knowing that school food service personnel nationwide will know how to respond if a student experiences a serious allergic reaction.
My legislation, signed into law by President Trump, ensures that school food service staff receive essential training about food allergies, so that they are better equipped to prevent, recognize, and respond to food allergic reactions. Click here to read more.
Passed the Senate: My resolution to honor women ag producers
Every day, women across America work to feed, fuel, and clothe our world—and they should receive credit for incredibly demanding jobs. I was proud to partner with Senator Klobuchar in introducing this resolution to ensure that female ag producers receive the recognition they deserve for their hard work. Click here to read more.
