Academy Nominations

Note: Applications are due to my office by October 2, 2023

Each year Senators have the privilege of nominating a select group of outstanding young men and women to attend our five United States Military Service Academies: the United States Air Force Academy, United States Merchant Marine Academy, United States Military Academy, United States Coast Guard Academy and United States Naval Academy. Links to the respective academies and their application processes are below.

Each applicant for a nomination from my office must meet the following eligibility requirements as of July 1:

• Age: Must be at least 17 years old, but not yet 23 years of age on July 1 of the year you will enter the academy (25th birthday for the Merchant Marine Academy).
• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen and a legal and permanent resident of Nebraska.
• Marital Status: Must be unmarried, not pregnant, and have no legal obligation to support children or other dependents.

Each academy requires that you submit an application to them, as well as to my office. Due to the large volume of applications, it is best to start the process with the academy of your choice as soon as possible. Upon filling out and submitting your below information, you will be contacted by one of my staff members.
