WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, released the following statement today on reports that the Trump administration will soon announce a plan to provide $12 billion in emergency aid to farmers:
“I appreciate that the president is recognizing the economic hardship our farmers and ranchers are facing, but I believe we need a solution that provides certainty by protecting and expanding market access for our ag producers.”
