October 1st Deadline for Service Academy Nominations

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) released the following statement, reminding Nebraskans of the October 1, 2016, deadline for submitting service academy nominations for the class of 2021:

“One of my most rewarding responsibilities as a United States senator is my role in nominating young Nebraskans for admission to one of our nation’s military service academies. I encourage all eligible Nebraska students with the desire to join the next generation of military leaders to submit their applications by the October 1 deadline.”

United States senators are called upon annually to nominate a select group of eligible individuals from their states for enrollment at one of the five U.S. military service academies: the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, the U.S. Military Academy, and the U.S. Naval Academy.
