Following is a transcript of Senator Fischer’s remarks:
Hi, this is Senator Deb Fischer.
This Thanksgiving, Nebraskans will gather with their loved ones to celebrate and give thanks for all of life’s blessings.
It’s also the perfect time to savor the dishes that have become a cherished Thanksgiving tradition for so many generations.
In the holiday hustle, I ask you to remember those who may be celebrating alone this year. If you’re able to, I encourage you to invite them to join your own celebrations and add a bit of joy to their holiday season.
As we approach Thanksgiving Day, I want to express my gratitude to the people of Nebraska. It is a tremendous honor to work for you in the United States Senate.
I also want to extend my sincerest gratitude to the brave members of our Armed Forces who keep us safe, especially those who cannot be with their loved ones this holiday.
Let us count our blessings and show our love and gratitude to our families, friends, and to this great nation.
Wishing you all a Thanksgiving full of joy and laughter. Thank you.
