VALENTINE, Neb. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) today welcomed Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue to Cherry County, Nebraska. At the Fischers’ Sunny Slope Ranch south of Valentine, Senator Fischer and Secretary Perdue led a roundtable discussion with area ranchers.

“Bruce and I were so pleased to welcome Secretary Perdue to our home. We were happy to introduce him to our friends and neighbors. During a roundtable discussion, Secretary Perdue and I heard about the challenges these ag producers face every day. I look forward to continuing my work with Secretary Perdue to lift regulatory burdens and provide certainty so Nebraska ranchers can prosper and continue to feed the world,” said Fischer.

Senator Fischer invited Secretary Perdue to Nebraska earlier this year.
