Veterans Day
Almost one hundred years ago, American soldiers fighting in France, farm boys and car mechanics, turned the tide of World War I. Because of their valor, that terrible war ended at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month of the year. To celebrate, Americans named November 11, 1918, ‘Armistice Day.’
Fischer Celebrates First Shipment of NE Beef to Israel
“Nebraska’s world-class beef is officially on its way to Israel for the first time in 13 years. I was proud to work closely with the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, USDA, and our ambassador in Israel to broker this historic agreement. It’s a big win for the Beef State and the people of Israel. Nebraskans feed the world and re-opening this market increases opportunities for our state’s ag producers, communities, and economy.”

It’s fall in Nebraska. This time of year, we hear the steady hum of combines working late into the night. Trucks are hauling crops, reaping the benefits of productive land and hard work. Walkers assembled behind the starting line at noon, and after crossing the finish, they enjoyed a picnic lunch in the park while a DJ played upbeat tunes. Amongst the beautiful smiles, joyful laughter, and silly photos that day there was abundant love and support for our friends with Down syndrome.

Harvest
This time of year, you often hear the steady hum of combines working late into the night. Trucks haul corn, soybeans, and dry beans, among other crops, reaping the benefits of productive land and hard work. During harvest, Nebraska’s farm families are busy doing what they do best: feeding the world.
TIME: Obama Administration Is Irresponsible and Risky With Judgment Fund
Few Americans have heard of the U.S. Treasury Department’s Judgment Fund. Most have heard of its recent intended beneficiaries: the Islamic Republic of Iran and health insurance companies reeling under Obamacare mandates. The Judgment Fund is a little-known account used to pay certain court judgments and settlements against the federal government. Each year, billions of dollars are disbursed from it, […]
