WASHINGTON, DC. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) released the following statement today after voting against raising the debt limit by $2.5 trillion:

“America is on an unsustainable and irresponsible fiscal path. To accommodate their enormous tax and spend proposals, Democrats moved today to raise the debt ceiling by $2.5 trillion. I kept my promise and opposed this increase.”
