WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement following today’s Abraham Accords signing ceremony, which normalized diplomatic relationships between Israel and the UAE and Bahrain:

“Today’s pacts represent a historic step toward a more peaceful Middle East.  Normalizing relations between Israel, the UAE and Bahrain will help bring closer these three important U.S. partners in the region. It will increase their linkages and opportunities, particularly in the face of growing Iranian aggression. I thank President Trump and his administration for their leadership on this issue.”
